The Town of Thompson's Station has a business license requirement for businesses operating within the Town. The Town issues the initial license, but the Tennessee Department of Revenue will administer and process your annual business tax return.
Applying For a Business License
You are required to fill out a Business Application Form. Submit this completed form by mail or in person along with your application fee to:

Home Based Businesses
If you are operating your business from a residence in Thompson's Station, you must fill out a Home Occupation Application through GeoCivix. A current Town Business License is required prior to application for a Home Based Business.
- Obtain Town Business License
- Log in to your GeoCivix account
- Click on "Submit Application"
- For Application Category, choose "Planning" from the drop down menu
- For Application Type, choose "Application for Residential Business or Home Occupation"
Application Fee
There is a $15 fee associated with applying for a business license. Make checks payable to the Town of Thompson's Station. Your business tax license will be issued by the Town.
