Park Projects

Parks Master PlanThompson's Station features over 300 acres of parkland with miles of trails that show off the stunning beauty of Middle Tennessee.  The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the Board of Mayor and Alderman work together with Town Staff to update Town Parks with park master plans, connect the Town with Greenway Trails and promote a healthy, engaged community through our outdoor spaces.

Visit the Parks & Recreation page to get more information on the Town's Parks and the amenities at each location. You can also tour the Town Parks with the ESRI Story Journal - Town Parks Tour that takes you to each location with interactive maps and site details!

  1. Parks Master Plan

The Town's Parks and Recreation Department launched a first ever, Parks Master Plan. The Town worked with designated planning and design engineers at Kimley-Horn to develop a comprehensive Master Plan to guide the future of investments and improvements for the Town's green spaces.

  2. Preservation Park Master Plan (ARCHIVED)

The recommendations in 2024 Parks Master Plan are meant to supersede the recommendations from the 2016 Preservation Park Plan, as those recommendations are now out of date with the communities needs. When making future decisions for Preservation Park, the Town can refer to the Parks Master Plan to best serve the community’s needs as it encapsulates the current needs of the Town and community.
