Weather Updates from WCEMA and the NWS:
The National Weather Service is reporting that Hurricane Francine may impact Middle TN.
What: Remnants of Hurricane Francine will move into Middle TN Thursday morning.
The main concerns are a low-end tornado threat with 1-4 inches of rain with possible flooding.
When: Thursday (9/12) Afternoon - Friday (9/13) Afternoon
- Tornado concern: Thursday afternoon through early Friday morning
- Flooding concern: Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon
NOTE: This forecast will greatly depend on the eventual path of Francine. Once Francine makes landfall, its remnants will impact Middle TN starting Thursday. Thursday through Friday will have the highest chance for heavy rain and flooding as well as a low-end tornado threat, especially for areas along and west of I-65.
